After Sandy, Manhattanites have realized that Uptown is the new Downtown and no other area is that idea more visible than in Washington Heights, the neighborhood not the MTV show; which I find entertaining but lacks to show the soul of the Renaissance. Our mission is to connect our area to what is going on in the world around us. Music is a the spirit that unites all races from all backgrounds. Our mission is open a space for talent from all parts of the world but headlining highly successful or skillful local artist. Our festival runs for three days.Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
First day Friday is Classical and Jazz--Selected artist will play in different venues around our neighborhood and at concerts halls available.
Second day- Saturday is our world music day- Selected artist will play salsa, bachata, pop, RnB, Reggae, hip hop.
Sunday EDM All day EDM. New york is the birth place of Electronic Dance Music and many DJ start out in the city. We have many DJ in our area that are ready to play.
EDM is the future and the we live in the future, we are the future. We must become our future today and music is that train that will carry us into the arms of joy.
